Kesang 51
Zhonggang, Tibet Kesang lives in a small village about 45km from the Tibet- Nepalese boarder on the “friendship highway” between Kathmandu and Lhasa. The cave where the sage Milarepa spent many years of his life meditating is very near this spot. Shortly after I took this photograph two heavily armed Chinese military men suddenly appeared, began angrily shouting and tore up several sheets of my used Polaroid backings. Fortunately my film went unnoticed.
