Huejuquilla El Alto, Mexico Michella and Roberto had just made their regular monthly trip to Huejuquilla to bring their artwork to the Huichol Center for Cultural Survival. The center, which was established by an American anthropologist, encourages the Huichols to work as artists, rather than as migrant tobacco field workers, by supplying them with beads and marketing their work. Michella still suffers from headaches caused by years of exposure to pesticides in the tobacco fields.
