Ebore Village, Ethiopia It is the custom for Ebore girls to shave their heads until they are married. Naro and Sirba spend most of the day fetching water and looking after the cattle. However, Naro has the added responsibility of taking care of her grandmother, who has been ill for several months. Because of her grandmother’s illness, Naro’s marriage has been delayed. Sirba plans to marry in a few weeks.
