Dulo 12, Oita 13 Turmi, Ethiopia Dulo and Oita were on their way to a bullah ceremony -- a rite of passage in which a male initiate must run naked four times across the backs of 30 bulls. The boys were to help steady the bulls during the ceremony. After I paid them for taking their photograph, Dulo and Oita immediately divided the money among themselves and the tribespeople around them. I’ve witnessed this generous practice among many different tribal groups.
