David Patchen - Creating the Hand-Blown Glass

Cooling Down

...with a couple raps with a paddle, I break the piece off the punty. It's now placed in an annealing oven at 920 degrees to cool down slowly for the next 16 hours or so.
This is contemporary hand blown glass artist David Patchen in action in his studio creating unique blown glass art through Venetian-style multi-layered cane and murrine.
